The things that need to be focused on for installation are that it should be done by a qualified professional, your solar installer should be licensed and the roof needs to be in good condition. 

Yes, you can easily walk on the solar plates as they are extremely strong but one should avoid walking on the edges of the plate as it might damage the panel. 

Although solar rooftops have a long life, they can easily last for as long as 25 to 30 years. But this nowhere means that after the passage of time solar panels will stop producing electricity. Instead, the production amount of electricity gets decreased significantly, if the produced amount is sufficient then one can continue using the rooftop for as long as they want without any alterations.

• You will not get the rebate for the next ten years.
